Resin Repairs

Canal and River Work

Soil erosion, void formation, and structural instability due to water infiltration and the leaching of materials behind the revetment wall are constant threats to revetment walls.

One highly effective solution to address these problems is our Resin Injection Repair service, which uses a specialized marine-grade single-component resin to restore the integrity of your revetment wall and the soil behind it. This marine-grade single-component resin is the ideal product for marine environments whereas the two-component resin in the market has been designed for structural lift. The two-component resins expands and foams up, however when used in a marine environment this will cause for hydrostatic and or hydraulic lift when exposed to a large king tide, deeming the two component resin to not be a suitable solution for marine revetment wall works.

Our resin, when injected into the affected areas, reacts with the surrounding environment and expands up to 40 times its original size upon contact with water. This expansion allows the resin to fill voids and gaps behind the revetment wall, stabilizing the soil and preventing further erosion. In addition to filling voids, the resin injection strengthens the surrounding soil, reestablishing structural support and preventing further damage from water infiltration. By preventing the loss of soil and other materials behind the wall, our resin injection repairs help mitigate the risk of wall rotation, cracking, and eventual collapse.

At Alan Davis Revetment Walls, we use this cutting-edge technology to provide an effective and cost-efficient solution for your revetment wall.Natural timber is the perfect choice for outdoor areas and can transform unusable space, establish walkways and is highly suitable for waterfront environments such as jetties or entertainment areas. We have the expertise and years of experience installing timber decks in all types of situations.

Soil Strengthning BeforeSoil Strengthning After

Soil Strengthening

This project focused on improving the stability of weakened ground through targeted resin injection. Over time, soil beneath the structure had become loose and unstable, creating voids and reducing its load-bearing capacity. Left untreated, this could have led to settlement, cracking, or structural failure.

Our team injected a specialised expanding resin into the affected soil. As the resin expanded, it filled voids, compacted the ground, and significantly increased its strength. This process not only stabilised the soil but also created a solid, long-term foundation for the overlying structure.

Void Filling

This project involved addressing underground voids that had developed due to soil erosion and water movement. These hidden gaps posed a risk to overlying structures, as they reduced ground support and could lead to sudden settlement or collapse if left untreated.

Our team carried out targeted resin injection to fill the voids. The expanding resin quickly spread through the empty spaces, hardening to create a dense, stable mass. This process not only restored the soil’s integrity but also strengthened the foundation, ensuring it could safely carry existing loads.
